Minimum bandwidth to run your own WordPress blog
Because WordPress is a dynamic site, the number of interactions between blog authors or other content creators/editors and the web server is MUCH MUCH greater than a site composed of static web pages which are uploaded from a local system.
Add to that the fact that other sites may subscribe to your RSS stream and you quickly exceed your monthly bandwidth allowance. Which means your site goes offline and displays error message 509 – Bandwidth Exceeded.
Why am I writing about this in the web design blog?
Well, because it happened to me, right here.
Fortunately, I have a very responsive hosting provider ( www.5quidhost.com ) who upgraded my site from absolutely FREE to “Micro” level. And it only costs £5 per month.
