The WordPress plugin called “The Events Calendar” ( the-events-calendar) is one of a number of routines that allow you to create and display dated events. It provides multiple views of your data – as a monthly calendar, in lists in a widget and on a page, upcoming and past. etcetera.
Bobbing Wide have used the-events-calendar plugin on client’s websites. In earlier versions it required a bit of work to get the styling right but it seems very effective. The Pro version of the latest release (2.0.11 at time of this update) looks promising; improved calendar widgets.
If you don’t like the events calendar you can also try the calendar plugin.

- Recently we have noticed a conflict with the redirection plugin. This has been reported in the WordPress.org support forums with a workaround involving altering one of Redirection’s settings. Set “URL Monitoring” to “Don’t monitor”. Rather than do this we chose to Deactivate the Redirection plugin, as it wasn’t deemed necessary on the site involved.
